BLANK was born in Amsterdam in 2017 on a single conviction: great design shouldn't be held hostage by a logo. We built trust before we built margins — growing a community of over 300,000 people who chose to let their identity speak louder than a label. This family is built on one belief: stay true to your roots, your passion, your beliefs and inspire others.

Our sunglasses won't change the world.

2017

A Leap of Faith

Most people see a saturated market and walk away. We saw a broken one and walked in. Amsterdam, 2017 — our first frames, our first customers, and the quiet certainty that this was only the beginning

2018

Word of Mouth

No billboards. No paid faces. Just people who felt something wearing BLANK — and passed it on. Our community built itself through genuine resonance, city by city across Europe. We never chased growth. We simply refused to compromise on what we stood for.

2019

Without Borders

Orders arriving from cities we'd never set foot in. A Dutch conviction becoming something borderless — carried by people who understood that identity isn't a geography. Fast, tracked worldwide delivery became a promise we've held to ever since.

2020

Stillness as Strategy

The world paused. We didn't waste it. We listened harder, sharpened our thinking, and asked ourselves the only question that mattered: what does BLANK truly want to become? The answer shaped everything that followed.

2021

100,000 Quiet Statements

A hundred thousand people. None of them wearing a logo. All of them the brand. We marked the milestone the only way BLANK knows how — by changing nothing on the outside, and refining everything within.

2022

Depth Over Volume

Fewer products. Deeper stories. The market was drowning in noise — brands competing on trend and clutter. We went the other direction. Storytelling became our sharpest tool. We stopped marketing to everyone, and started speaking only to the ones already listening.

2023

The Premium Pursuit

We committed to something that would take three years to get right. Frames that could stand alongside the world's finest eyewear — without the mythology markup. Not to compete with luxury. Because we believed this level of quality should exist at a price that doesn't insult the person wearing them.

2024

Obsessive Refinement

Materials sourced. Silhouettes tested. Frames worn, dropped, sat on, rebuilt. Every pressure point eliminated. Every edge considered. This is what craft looks like from the inside — invisible to the eye, felt in everything. We weren't building a product. We were setting a new standard for ourselves.

2025

Art as Language

BLANK found its visual voice. Transformation and stories told through art — visualizing the gap between who you were and who you chose to become. It was never about the frame. It was always about the person inside it.

2026

A New Era

Three years of obsession, released. Frames built without compromise, priced without mark-up. We introduced LUCID — a campaign about clarity. About shedding the weight of expectation and returning to who you really are.
